Investing in the future
The trustees of the Church and Community Fund have given their endorsement of our plan to employ a qualified Children and Family worker. They have awarded a grant over the next three years. Together other grant funding applied for and with the regular commitments from the members an supporters of Saint Stephen’s we will be able to advertise for this during the springtime of 2012.
I believe the God given principle that says that if we manage the small things well we shall be given responsibility for even greater things. Thank you Father for your provision. With these two sources of funding together we can offer someone the chance to work with our current teams with TOTZ, Kids Cafe, Tween Cafe, “sunday school” (can we stop calling it that?) And more. This will be a full time job. If anyone feels that they can give specifically to either of these areas of work on a regular basis we would be so grateful. Just £1 per week would make a difference added to everybody else’s £1-a-week. There are envelopes at the back of the church for this use and if you pay tax you can gift-aid it so that we get an additional 2o% back from the Chancellor of the Exchequer...
